    • PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL TRACKS

      The program comprises two tracks:

      Track 1: Enterprise
The Enterprise Track examines current and emerging cybersecurity threats facing the private sector and explores best practices in private sector approaches to combating threats. Participants will learn how to organize in the private sector to mitigate current and emerging cyber threats and develop and implement strategies to combat threats from both state and non-state actors. At the conclusion of the course, participants will test their newly acquired knowledge in a hands-on simulation facilitated by leading practitioners from the private sector.

Track 2: National & Public Security

The National & Public Security Track examines current and emerging cybersecurity threats facing the security of nation states and explores best practices in governmental approaches to combating threats. Participants will learn how to organize in the government and partner outside of the government to mitigate current and emerging cyber threats and develop and implement offensive and defensive strategies to combat threats from non-state actors. At the conclusion of the course, participants will test their newly acquired knowledge in a hands-on simulation facilitated by leading practitioners from the defense sector.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

    • Cancellations by FIU Office of Executive and Professional Education:
The Office of Executive and Professional Education reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program with insufficient enrollment or for reasons beyond FIU's control. If a certificate program is cancelled, the participant will be given a full refund.
If a program is cancelled, the Office of Executive and Professional Education's liability is limited to a full refund of the program fee already paid. The Office of Executive and Professional Education is not responsible for travel or related costs under any circumstances. Participants may want to consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance in the unlikely event that a program is cancelled or they cannot attend for personal or professional reasons.

Cancellation of an Office of Executive and Professional program by participant:
In preparation for your participation in the Office of Executive and Professional Education programs, several irreversible commitments are made once you register for a program. The following guidelines apply to all written requests for cancellation by the participant:
      • Cancellations received at least 30 Days prior to the program's start date will receive a full refund.
      • Cancellations received between 30 and 15 days prior to the program's start date will receive a full refund, minus a fee equal to 40% of the full (undiscounted) program fee.
      • Cancellations received within 15 days prior to the program's start date are non-refundable.

At the full discretion of the Office of Executive and Professional Education, we may offer a participant the option to transfer their registration to a subsequent program with similar registration costs. The transfer must be applied and used within 12 months of the cancellation. Failure to use the transfer allowance within 12 months will result in a forfeit of that allowance. Should changes in pricing occur for subsequent programs to which registrations were transferred, the participant will be responsible for any additional fees, as applicable.

The request to cancel or transfer your registration for any program must be received by the Office of Executive and Professional Education in writing to epe@fiu.edu.

If a payment for a program was made with a credit card, the refund will occur 10 business days after the written request to drop a program has been approved by the Office of Executive and Professional Education, or 10 business days after the initial credit card transaction has cleared, whichever is later. Once a request to cancel is submitted, you will receive notification of receipt of the request and approval, or decline, of that request.
